Choc Crunch Protein 'Ice Cream'

This is so yummy, totally tastes like it couldn't be good for you. The cacao nibs give it a nice choc chip crunch.




3 bananas, frozen in 2cm lengths
Place in thermomix Speed 8, 15 seconds. Scrape down sides and repeat.

Add
2 tbs pure maple syrup
1 tbs cacao powder
1 tbs sprouted brown rice protein powder (or your choice of protein powder)
1 tsp cacao nibs
Speed 8, 15 seconds.

Serve immediately, serves 2.

  1. Ahhhh!!!! I have to get a thermomix!!! How do you think you could make this without a thermomix??? I have all the ingredients ready to go.

    1. Do you have a high power blender? Just need something powerful enough to puree the frozen bananas. Food processor? Good luck, and yes everybody 'needs' a thermomix!!

  2. I gave the food processor a try and just about broke the blades I think! But it worked. Kids loooooooved it. : ) Used manuka honey as I had run out of maple syrup, but I think the maple syrup would taste nicer.
